Kevins gästblogg ifrån Tyskland! =D
Hallo aus Deutschland!
Hallå från Tyskland!
The last six days have been my very first trip to Sweden, Norway and Denmark. They have been probably the best days ever. From packing my baggage till entering the plan it felt already like going home and celebrate New Year with my love. It was not only celebrating 2015, I was more looking forward to meet my two boys Daniel and Bosse <3.
It’s not easy to stay totally updated about everything what happens the entire time by having 730 km distance between each other but since the world became so small and there are so many opportunities to stay in contact I got lots of videos and pictures during the last two weeks. For this reason I was very exited to meet Bosse now live. Since the first time I saw him I directly fall in love with him! He is an amazing horse with a character you can only dream of. It was a pleasure for me to groom him these days because it was not only work, it was more like fun and he is really cute. He loves to be in the center and he is also really thankful for everything you take care about.
First I saw Daniel training with Bosse and I got a live overview about his movements and behaviors as well as about the training and their abilities. Secondly I got the chance to try Bosse myself and to be honest it was more difficult then I thought. He is very light-footed but also sometimes a bit strong-willed which shows his strong character. It is a horse that knows what he can do and he offered me the chance from the first second on to ride some half-passes and even one-time-changes. Bosse really listens carefully to the aids and tries to do everything right even though he can also be a bit lazy sometimes, like everyone else of us;-). I think that Daniel and Bosse are a perfect team not only because they are both very diligent and ambitious, both have also a very funny and humorous loveable side. What’s more fun besides working and getting the horse really muddy inside after a long day on the field and even then playing with the water to get clean again?! These two know exactly how to structure their training very well and I am pretty sure that they will make their way together!
I’ve planed to fly back on Friday but because of the offer I got to join the Carl Hester clinic in Flying, it was no second to think about staying till Sunday! This event was really informative and very well structured. It started with how to work on a young horse and moved on till Inter I and II and even till Grand Prix. Every group made out of two riders from Sweden got the chance to show together with Carl Hester how to work on problems or just how to avoid them. He had some amazing ideas how to built a good training lesson and in a combination with the mechanic and the physique he gave tons of very useful information not only for riders, also how he thinks it should be judged on a competition. I myself made some notes how to work with my horses. To be really honest, I just saw him only riding but after this clinic and after he gave an impression of his philosophy he really became an idol for me.
To sum up the last 6 days covered 5 amazing days with Bosse, around 4 typical Swedish food specialties that I tried, 3 really beautiful countries, 2 mazing capitals (Oslo and Copenhagen) and 1 love I can’t even be thankful enough to be his boyfriend! Thank you to everyone who made this trip unforgettable and a warmly “Hallo!” from Germany!
